Carnegie Mellon University Integrated Bachelor & Master's Degree Program Policies

IMB students are required to review and comply with the Integrated Bachelor & Master's Degree Programs Standard Degree Requirements & Degree Certification policy. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

I understand that I will be classified as a graduate student at CMU once I am certified as having completed my undergraduate degree, typically in the number of semesters that is the standard for my integrated program.
I am expected to complete my graduate degree requirements within the standard length of time for my integrated program of study.
I am aware of and have planned for for financial implications, including financial aid, and/or F-1/J-1 non-immigrant implications due to the change of level when moving from undergraduate student status to graduate student status at CMU.
I understand that any questions or concerns I have regarding this policy should be clarified with my undergraduate academic advisor or with the Mechanical Engineering Manager of MS Programs prior to applying to the IMB program.

Mechanical Engineering Integrated Master's/Bachelor's Program Policies

Mechanical Engineering IMB students are required to review and comply with the Integrated Master's/Bachelors Degree Program policies outlined in the Mechanical Engineering Master's Program Handbook. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

I understand that, once I transition to graduate student status, I will be required to maintain full-time enrollment status in each semester of my master's degree program regardless of remaining degree requirements.
I will continue to maintain my advisor-advisee relationship with my undergraduate academic advisor until completion of my undergraduate degree.
I will consult and update my graduate academic advisor, once assigned, of any academic actions (e.g. changes to course plans, undergraduate degree completion timeline, etc.) that may impact the timeline for the IMB program.
